    With coal mining deeply rooted in Estevan’s past and present, the inner workings of the mining industry can be fascinating to watch. These guided tours help develop an in depth understanding of coal mining in and around the Estevan area, and are FREE of cost. The tours originate at the Visitor Information Centre and run from June to August.

    Rafferty and Boundary Dams make for great water playgrounds. Boat launches are available at both dams. Fishing is a a great sport to indulge in and particularly fishing for the largemouth bass at Boundary. The warm temperature of the water makes this the only water body in Western Canada to have ideal conditions for the largemouth bass to inhabit.
